The federation connects enterprises, financial institutions, GBA platforms, social organisations and public bodies through five ESG programme tracks that turn knowledge into practical collaboration.

Positioning
The federation connects institutional, commercial, academic and community stakeholders to support ESG education, resource matching and cross-border collaboration across the Greater Bay Area.
Governance Structure
The federation is organised with an Executive Committee and a dedicated secretariat to support governance, Greater Bay Area development, education, public communications and operational coordination.
Federation Chairman
Leads charity service and Greater Bay Area youth development. Founder of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Charity Foundation and the Greater Bay Area ESG Federation, with long-standing work in cultural education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, environmental protection and disability inclusion in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Vice Chairman and Director of the Education Committee
Mr. David Wong is a second-generation pearl professional who has worked across the pearl industry value chain for more than 17 years. He has extensive experience in pearl production, sales, and marketing. Drawing on his in-depth industry knowledge and innovative thinking, he developed the pearl identification technology, which creates a traceable digital identity for each pearl, enhancing transparency and consumer confidence in pearl products. He also pioneered the integration of pearl culture with marine tourism, opening up new possibilities for the industry’s diversified development.
David further consolidated his practical industry experience and research findings in Pearls Decoded - Entering the World of Popular Science, an award-winning popular science publication supported by the government. Through this work, he has brought professional pearl knowledge into the field of public science education. Today, he combines his industry expertise, technological innovation, and educational experience to promote “Sustainable Pearl Education”, positioning pearls not only as beautiful natural treasures, but also as an important medium connecting science, culture, industry, marine conservation, and sustainable development.
Public Relations Officer
Supports public communications, media relations, event promotion and stakeholder engagement.

Supports administration, member liaison, event execution, documentation and cross-team coordination.

The federation appoints advisors from academia, public service, finance, technology, communications, environmental philanthropy and sustainability education. Profiles are presented in a professional format to support future collaboration with PolyU and other academic partners.
